Tim, I understand everything is very costly these days, it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife last year, ya'll were very nice, I hope to see you at the APA Nationals next year, I hope I meet somemore PNW pullers this year at nationals that are as freindly as you guys, I'll take a bunch of videos and post them when I get back home, Take Care and Work Them Dogs !!!!!!!!! Greg Mealer. Hi Greg, Actually it was worries about my dad's health. I did not want to risk being on the road and have his health get worse. Then it worked out for the better too because it turned out this weekend was the last weekend for our daughter and son-in-law to be here. They transferred to FL so we got to visit this weekend with them and our granddaughter. I will take that over a weight pull any day of the week. Even a championship! Speaking of...what is this I hear that they did 1,000 lb increments the second day?!?!?

I can say it was cold, and if they plan it again for the same time of year, I will take the wife out to eat and then pull our dogs in hillbillys' dog house, WHERE THERE ARE FOUR WALLS AND A HEATER TO KEEP US WARM AND KEEP THE WIND OUT. We had fun an met a lot of people at nationals that we would have never met. We enjoyed talking dogs, present and past. thanks to all the people that purchased harnesses and tickets for the raffle that my wife did Sunday. We would like to thank Greg Mealer for Big Squirt. He has been a great dog to have. Big Squirt placed 2nd in the King of the Rails in the 120 pound class, and that was nice. We were looking forward to meeting Tim, but things happen. Slamming weight, whats new. Hopefully they move Nationals up a few weeks next year, so maybe it is not so cold. It would be a lot more enjoyable. See ya'll next season, and if you need a harness between now and then, let us know. Will be putting another harness up for auction next month.

I have some videos I'll post when I get a chance, Congrats to the Mark and Eli Landers for there Most Weight Pulled, they have some Good Dogs and Congrats to everyone who placed or won and Thanks to all who helped put the show on.

Morning Greg Congratulations with Chug! Sure was nice visiting with you all and talking about the old times! Thanks for the kind words about our dogs and especially about Eli his mother an I are very proud of him an the way he is at just 16! We agree about moving the time up an having it inside some where? I thought it ran real smooth but was not real ganked about having to pull toward those free standing BRIGHT lights,I also like to back off the track a little and that was impossible the way that track was set. The big thing is the weather if it was doing what it was doing coming back(snowing) going out we would have to just turn around come home... are last 50 miles took two hours... Oklahoma sound good to us???
Thanks again. TTYS Mark

Congratulations on Big Squirt taking second in the KOR. It was cold as heck last year too, but it sounds like it was colder this year. All I can say about moving it up earlier in the year is that people will have to speak up about it and let the APA know that it is important to them. Take care Tim

APA ALL THE WAY !!!!! Congratulations on Chug-A-Lug! Trina and I will be watching for the videos and pics. :-) I would also like to see Nationals about a month earlier and more in the center of the country. I raised the issue once, but...a couple of the powers that be dislike me so my voice did not carry much weight. (Can't say as I blame them...I can be a bit of an outspoken butt sometimes LOL) But if enough people raise the issue it might very well happen. I know that last year they got a different rail system because concerns were raised about it. And then this year they had a new rail system built I believe. So maybe if enough people start campaigning now to get it earlier and in Oklahoma it might happen. I say start now so that they have time to consider the proposal and make the plans. If it waits until the end of the season, nothing will be able to get done even if the APA wanted to. They need the time to plan. Take care, Tim

Make sure you tell Eli congratulations from us if you haven't yet! And hopefully there will be another MGK dog out there next summer kicking butt and taking names. :-) And of course...Hoss says to tell Crowbar...he is upset he could not get his rematch in St. Louis. (Hoss is so fat right now that if he tried to pull a cart he would get rug burns on his belly LOL. I have to get training him again or he won't make the 126 - 150 lb class in Yakima at his next IWPA pull). Take care, Tim
