i bought a male pup when he was five months and he was over 50 lbs, he was one of the smaller pups but not a runt, in the past few weeks it seems he really has filled in, his sire is 95 and the dam is 110, but I was wondering how long do pups continue to and put on weight or how long do they grow or fill out, thought i would ask the experts, if you can let me know id appreciate it, by the way my wife and i loved the cell phone and bible post. thanks RAy

Ray, Im not a expert, but I would say when a dog is a year old he's almost there , he might gain 10 more pounds if your lucky, but there are other people on here who might have had different growth patterns, maybe some of them will share there opinons.
Greg Mealer ps. that bible vs. cell phone makes you think ?

In my personal experience with my dogs. At a year they reached there maximum height but they continued to fill out till about 2 years to 2 1/2 years old. But I would have to agree that the amount of weight that they put on is not anymore than 10 to 20 lbs. It just looks like more because they lose the puppy look and they thicken out and get wide. But thats just my experience. I am sure it has a lot to do with nutrition and proper worming.
