Freakin Guy.....Let it go............Like I said before and I got deleted. Showing ribs doesn't mean your skinny........ Losing weight is a big part of our sport. Just like Boxing and wrestling,You will not see a fat boxers n wrestlers unless they are heavy wt. People have to be educated and careful about there dogs losing to much weight, that's the problem. Making wt. is easy, performing in that wt. is a different thing. It's a fact that loosing to much wt. will take affect of your performance. That goes to any sport.........MWP will not fixed anything, you will run to a similar problem. Since we are competing in MWPP, you will always see weight pullers place their dogs at the lowest wt. class. It is what it is.......we just need to give good care of our dogs, and make sure we are not hurting them.......because one want to win.....my 2cents lol.

True Mike, but thats not all of what Ants post sounds like. If you take a boxer like your example you must make weight to compete against a fighter in your class but it shows nothing for the boxer if he drops weight just to dodge a good fighter that is already in his class. Condition and match up, dont dodge...Just my opinion Mike Maybe I read it wrong....

no e you read it rite. but even if apa went to mwp theyd still have a problem what really needs to happen is focus on weights of a dog you can only tell a dog don be long pulling against that certain dog apa needs todo 1) make us all NOT FEED are dogs EAST or West coast friend/foe 2) make us all FEED are dogs if you can put 8-10lbs a dog and still show a ribs your scared to pull in the next class jmo

You know I LOVE you guys<3......This is not about dodging a dog. This is about competing with the best of the best dogs out there. And if you are not conditioned dog, you don't have a chance winning. Like I said, one has to conditioned the dog the right way and make sure we don't hurt the dogs by losing to much wt. will cause to lose muscle. If you know sports, like my example you would understand. Our high school wrestling team this year is very good. We won the CIF tournament and we are going to defend it this year and we are better this year. We have wrestlers dropping 10 to 15 lbs. cause of body fat. Some can only lose 5 lbs. I myself back in high school and college lose 20lbs. to make wt. Now today, the wrestlers has to be tested how much of wt. they can lose. That would be nice but, it would be very expensive to do the same with our dogs. lol. My point is this......The small dog are much different than the big dogs. In my experience, pulling both small and big dogs have different work out and you treat the dogs differently.....Our dagger dogs are best when they pull at there natural weight. They don't need to lose wt. But the game dogs are..........You don't want to bring a small dog looking like a hot dog at Natl...Like Tony Lopez at the ADBA Nat'l 05. Much <3 to brother. It's not going to happen. It's not about feeding the dog where you can't see ribs. Feed your dogs, work them, condition them and when said and done your dog weight 43lbs. Then you should pull them on that wt. Not about being scared cause if you go to a higher weight class and they have the same dogs that wt. 51 lbs. and conditioned like your dog. What happen, you are not going to win because all of us want to win, do well at Nat'l, that's why we pull.....just a fact. Size Matter......What someone need to do is to have small dog and pull it. To experience pulling them and see the difference between the two. Not many people can do this.......Again, nothing against You guys, everyone are entitle with their opinion, The subject is tough, no one can win this argument........Let's not argue about this and move on. It is what it is.....Let's just work our dogs, feed them good, and conditioned them good...LOVE them. The result. NATIONAL CHAMPION AGAIN.

Well, Mr. Mealer. The biggest dog is most likely win the MWP overall. But it's not all about that, with all the weight class, division, I have no problem with the format now. HOW about MWP for each class and MWPP for each division, and still have the MWP 70lbs. over n under. I think that would solved it, something for everyone. To me it really doesn't matter, MWP or MWPP.....

Mike its just my "opinon" its a Strength Contest... just like in power lifting, its whos the strongest..., id like to see MWP in every class and they can have MWPP in each of the 4 divisions,it really does'nt matter what i think.. but would'nt it be nice just to see how it would go for 1 Year...... ::)I had a poll on it but most folks were affraid to vote... Tell them dont be scared dont be scared... :' I think the APA is the best and thats all we will pull.. and thats where all the best dogs are.... But body Pound is a Joke to us.... and to alot of others... If I never win...its MWP........4-LIFE jmo......... Where the Strong Dogs Rule... and All the rest Drool......... "You Can Do It"..........lol......

To be real all that needs to happen is look at the weights of a dog 4 example star shouldnt be able to pull against magic if they sucked him down id rather b mwp but if they was to go that way it still wouldnt fix nothing cuz to many dogs say there conditioned but in reallty way to skinny a dagger, whopper or bulldog should not show every dang rib if your dog is skinny say at 91lbs and cant win no way should he/she be allowed to drop ne more Im sorry if u feel like im talking about you cuz maybe I am but this reply was not 4 greg or mike Feef them dogs there hungry ;D
